Indian Automotive Sales Analysis Overview - April 2013

The month of April had mixed success for those involved in the automobile sector. Passenger Car segment and Truck segment suffered decrease in sales. While the bus segment is invigorated by positive growth. Three wheeler segment also shows some consistent growth in terms of sales figures.

Indian Passenger Vehicle Sales Analysis, April 2013

For the month of April 2013, a total of 208,386 units of passenger vehicles were sold in the Indian Market overall. This is an 8.21% de-growth as compared against same month last previous year where a total of 227,037  units were sold.

Indian Truck Market Analysis April 2013

In April 2013 48,316 trucks were sold in the Indian domestic market as against  48,889 trucks sold during the same month of previous year.  This is a 1.17 %  decrease in overall sales. Consistent performers in  LCV segment gained them a 3.13% growth whereas M&HCV decades by 10.93%.

Indian Bus Market Analysis April 2013

The Indian bus industry has everything to cheer for looking at the sales figures for the month of April 2013. A total of 8362 buses were sold for the month of April 2013, which is 995 more than what they managed during the same month for 2012, recording a 13.50% growth.  Both the LCV and M&HCV shows positive growth during the period at 20% and 7.15% respectively.

Indian Three Wheeler Market Analysis April 2013

An overall of 34348 three wheelers were sold in Indian market for the month of April 2013, recording a growth of 7.19 % as compared against the same month last year. Both passenger and good segments performs well, marking 7.24% and 7% increases in sales respectively in comparison with the same month last year.

Indian Two Wheeler Market Analysis April 2013

For the month of April 2013, the motor cycles segment suffered a slight setback, marking a negative growth of 2.06% as compared against the same month last year. The scooter segment recorded a 14.72% growth and mopeds manage a 7.2% growth in April 2013 as against April 2012.

Tyres: Design, Construction and Selection

CFO DR Wolfgang Ollig to quit from Hella Mangaement Board

Dr Wolfgang Ollig, chief finance and controlling officer of HELLA KGaA Hueck & Co., has updated the company that he will not extend his contract of employment expiring on June 30, 2016.
hellaDr. Ollig has held several functions at HELLA since 2004 and was appointed to the Management Board as CFO in 2006. Dr Ollig has contributed substantially to the development of HELLA into a listed company.
