Daimler bus started new plant in Colombia to expand its buisness in region

• Daimler now manufactures Mercedes-Benz bus chassis in the new bus plant in Funza (Bogotá metro area) for Colombia
• future exports to neighbouring countries are planned
• Installed capacity will be 4,000 units per year
• Daimler is preparing for demand for bus rapid transit mobility solutions and regular buses in the region
• With five production sites, Daimler is the largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles in Latin America
