For the period April to February for the Fiscal Year 2012-13, overall sales had dropped by 3% which is not a positive sight for Industry. 91,127 buses were sold during the period April-Feb of FY 2012-13, compared to 93,766 units during the same period for FY 2011-12.
The M&HCV segment has shown a negative growth of 7%. The segment managed to sell 44,643 units during the period April-Feb of FY2012-13, compared to 48,237 units during same period last fiscal year. This is a drop of 3,594 units.
While LCV marks a 25% growth for the same duration. LCV segment has sold 955 more compare to same period of last FY.
M&HCV contributes 51% of the Market Share while LCV has 49% in this segment.
