The 2016 Acura NSX lifts its robe

The NSX 2016 has undraped itself at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year. This complex new hybrid drivetrain will use a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V -6 to allow it to balance performance and fuel economy. The new drivetrain will use “multi-material space frame” to maximize body rigidity while minimizing weight, similar to that of Accura. The new model intends to put same sort of halo around the Acura brand as the first NSX did sometime back. The NSX not only uses a unique mix of materials but also adopts new manufacturing processes.Accura NSXThe 2016 NSX opts for a hybrid version of Acura’s Super-Handling All-Wheel-Drive system. It conjointly uses a unique mix of materials but also adopts new manufacturing processes accompanied by“total airflow management strategy”. The 2016 model utilizes 10 air-cooled heat exchangers for such components as the front motors, the twin-turbo V-6, the rear electric drive and the 9-speed dual clutch transmission. Three radiators serve the V-6 alone. Additional details on this super drivetrain is likely to dribble out in upcoming auto events.
