Ashok Leyland witnessed their total sales for July 2013 drop by 11%, selling 8739 units during the month in comparison to 9785 units sold during. The overall year-to-date sales for financial year 2013-14 stood at 30,463 units which is lower by 18% as against same period of previous financial year 2012-13 where 37,272 units.
For the commercial vehicle segment, the sales for July 2013 stood at 6259 units as compared to 6982 units in July 2012, representing a 10% decline. The segment witnessed 18% reduction in the year-to-date sales for FY 2013-14 as 21,159 units are sold as against 27,221 units sold during same period of previous financial year.
