Manufacturing of trailers by the well known semi trailer factory named as Van Doorne Aanhangwagen Fabriek was duly visualized in the early 30’s. But, due to the introduction of the 1st truck chasis, the semi trailer factory has changed its named and is now known as Automobile factory of Van Doorne.
Geldropseweg is the place where the new venue was established for truck production. There has been successive growth of truck from 10000 in 1955 to 50000 in 1964. In the year 1984 the figure rose to 2, 50,000 where as in 1999 it became 5, 00,000. The company marked the last figure to be 7, 50,000 in the year 2007.
