The 2016 Honda Pilot Checks all the boxes

The 2015 Chicago Auto show held on the 12th of February showcased the luxurious Three-Row SUV marking the world debut of the 2016 Honda Pilot. Reengineered and remodelled in America, The Honda Pilot with it's more refined, luxurious and bold style is said to hit the markets this summer. It is run on a far more advanced and efficient Earth Dreams Technology, capable of exhibiting several cutting edge features like safety, fuel efficiency, driving dynamics all nicely and snuggly wrapped into one sophisticated, concise, and majestic package, making it more family-friendly than ever. Family friendly indeed, with the Honda Pilot flaunting it's five USB ports and charging points.

The Honda Pilot looks to fortify 2015 as the "Year of Honda", along with the 2015 CR-V and the highly awaited 2016 HR-V.

It's elegant yet autocratic design incorporates features like the more efficient LED projector headlights boasting it's auto high beam technology, signature LED daytime running lights and taillights, 20-inch wheels, coupled with a first of it's kind, panaromic roof option.

The interior features are no less royal with the use of only the best high quality, comfortable materials in the cabin and smart features have also found their way to the interior like LED map lighting. Apart from these features, additional spoils have been added which cater to the pampered side in us. With amenities such as heated and ventilated front seats, heated steering and second row seats, Two second-row captain's chairs making it possible to easily walk between the second and third rows and  8 passenger seating capacity ,the Honda Pilot has truly captivated minds and holds a special place.
In addition to its family-friendly utilities, it also has the cliched additional ports and plugs including auxiliary jack, audio player, HDMI ports for gaming console, two headphone jacks, two 12-volt power outlets and a 115-volt outlet too. It's boasting, extravagant features makes us not only awe at it's stunning design, but also makes it the perfect steed for long journeys and road trips. It also showcases an upsized 8 inch capacitive touchscreen Display Audio telematics interface powered by a new Android- based operating system and a more powerful processor, coupled with the all-new Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System, providing improved graphics of road signs, lane guidance, live search function, 911 emergency services and much more. The Display Audio system also allows for smartphone connectivity for a better music listening experience. A 9 inch rear entertainment system DVD Aand Blu-Ray Disc capability is also available. The center console of the Honda Pilot features a storage compartment to accomodate items as large as a purse or an IPad. In short, it may even be regarded as a miniature house, housing everything necessary to everything that caters to the spoiled side in humans with entertainment systems, a large cargo area which has a capacity to hold a 82-quart cooler without compromising the seating of the third row, more interior space with 3.5 incles of added length overall and a segment-exclusive feature. A one touch button is another added feature that facilitates the second row seat to slide forward with one touch of a button to allow for entry and exit of the third row travellers. Another upgrade from the current Pilot is that of increase in width of the lower portion of the third-row entryway by 2.5 inches with a 1-inch step-over height.
The 2016 Pilot also hosts a Variable Cylinder Management cylinder deactivation technology and displays with pride it's new 3.5 liter, direct-injected i-VTEC V-6 engine owing to its fuel-efficient performance. The new engine is mated to one of two advanced new transmissions – a Pilot-first 6-speed automatic transmission, or on upper trims, a Honda-first 9-speed automatic transmission – both delivering notably refined, responsive and fuel-efficient performance. It will also be available in the front-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations delivering a more dynamic performance immune to weather changes which can learn to adapt to it's surroundings and climatic variations. With a 300 pounds lighter body, the new Pilot combines efficient powertrains, all-wheel drive system, and leading aerodynamics resulting in it's dynamic performance and fuel efficiency.
Honda's commitment to safety is promised with its Honda Sensing technology, looking to expand the driver's situational awareness whilst sensing and responding to road hazards, obstacles, other drivers and even pedestrians. It also includes the popular feature of Honda's Lane Watch display, Blind Spot indicators, a standard Multi- Angle Rear View Camera,  Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS),Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Rear Cross Traffic Monitor, Adaptive Cruise Control and a Honda-first Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) system. It's body structure incorporates the next-generation Advanced Compatibility Enginnering(ACE) designed to absorb the dispersed energy incase of a frontal collision. It also houses a ultra high-strength door ring to help protect the other passengers. The Pilot's design is characterized by a new 3-bone platform with high strength materials to reduce noise, vibration, harness, weight and also to improve handling and rigidity.
Standard systems such as four-channel anti-lock brakes (ABS) with Brake Assist and Hill Start Assist; Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®) with Traction Control; an Expanded View Driver's Mirror; dual-stage, multiple-threshold front airbags, driver and front passenger SmartVent™ side airbags and side-curtain airbags for all outboard seating positions; and a new Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) with real-time display of individual tire pressures also form a part of the safety protocol.
All three generations of the Honda Pilot have been designed and developed in America by Honda R&D Americas, Inc. at its Los Angeles design studio and Raymond, Ohio, vehicle development center. All Honda light truck models are produced in North America using domestic and globally sourced parts.
