Maruti experiences growth in mid-segment

Market leader in car segment Maruti Suzuki India Limited delivered a total of 116606 units in January 2015. This includes 105559 units in domestic market and 11047 units in exports. The Company had sold a total of 102416 units in January 2014.
In mini segment including Alto and WagonR have registered 38565 sales in 2014.The compact segment marks appraisal of 7.5%, 45881 vehicles in 2014 compared to 42669 in 2014. The super compact section compromising Dzire tour 33% uplift from 1036 No’s to 1378 in 2015. The mid-section experienced the growth of 3044.0% from 191 in 2014 to 6005 vehicles in current year. So overall the company has uplift of 7.9% increasing the passenger sales from 82461 to 89014, which is highly appreciable.
The utility vehicles such as Gypsy, Grand Vitara, Ertiga also experienced the growth of 35%, delivering 6432 vehicles this year as compared to 4763 vehicles in previous year. For vans including Omni and EECO it was 8.2% selling 10113 automotive compared to 9345 last year.
The total domestic sales were 105559 as compared to 96569 which is 9.3% appraise. The export sales increased amazingly to 88.9%, exporting 1147 vehicles to 5847 vehicles last year. So adding up domestic and export sales it was a grand total of 116606 vehicles sales to 102416 vehicles last year which is 13.9%.
Till January total domestic sales were grew by 12.6% selling 959091 vehicles in comparison to 851662 vehicles in 2013-14. Total export sales were 103218 raising sales by 27.5%. And total sales compromising domestic and export were 1062309 automotive to 932587 which is 13.9% in 2013-14.So overall it was a highly good increment in sales.
