On February 23rd,2015, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. proclaimed the launch of their XUV500 Xclusive Edition in Mumbai. Priced at Rs.14.48 lakhs, the XUV500 Xclusive boasts a multitude of features such as electric sunroof, reverse camera, a voice messaging system and the most exciting and confusing of them all, an anti-pinch driver window. It's Chief Marketing Officer Vivek Nayar impresses on their pride in introducing this model and their customer centric organisation. However, only 700 vehicles were produced of the XUV500 Xclusive. It's performance is amplified by a 140bhp engine, boasting a 330Nm torque with a 6-speed transmission and 5th generation Variable Geometry Turbochanger.
It's touchscreen Infotainment System is featured with GPS, DVD, CD, MP3, FM, USB, iPod connectivity, Driver Information System, Micro Hybrid Technology, Automatic Temperature control, LED parking lights, Rain & Light sensors, Intelligent parking systems,and adjustable ORVM's, making us wonder if this is just a car or a fully equipped house. Infotainment such as these need a good ambience and comfort system to truly enjoy it's magnificence. This is backed up by flat folding 2nd and 3rd row seats, mood lighting fit for an exquisite lounge and tilt and telescopic steering.
