Maruti cool as a breeze with 8.2% increase in sales

Maruti Suzuki, one of the leading car manufacturers have registered a sale of 118,551 units totally in February 2015, inclusive of domestic sales of 107,892 units and exports sales of 10,659 units. Overall sales has seen a marked increase from the 109,104 units which were produced in February 2014. Mini models like Alto and WagonR have seen a 7.1% increase in sales from 37,342 units in February 2014 to 39,988 units in February the following year.

On the other hand, Compact models like the Swift and Ritz have seen a dip in sales by 6.4% over the same period. In Contrast, Maruti has also seen a whooping increase in sales of their Mid-Size vehicles like the SX4 and Ciaz from a mere 228 units in February 2014 to 5410 units in February the following year. Utility Vehicles have also seen a subtle 12.1% increase in sales. Vans like the Omni and Eco have recorded an increase in sales by about 13.8% from 9932 units in February 2014 to 11,301 units in February the following year. Total Domestic sales have seen a refreshing 8.2% increase over the same period, with total export sales recording another stunning 14% increase over this time.
