Maurti Suzuki’s new plant at Hansalpur, Gujarat.

One of the leading automobile company Maruti Suzuki deepens its grip in automobile sector by setting up a new plant at Gujarat.
Yesterday the foundation stone was laid by the Anandi Ben Patel for Suzuki motors at Hansalpur,Gujarat. ‘As a part of Make in India’ an initiative by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the plant will start production in middle of 2017. The plant will have capacity to produce 250,000 units per annum. In total three plants are to place in Gujarat. The campus is spread vastly over 640 acres. The total investment is about 3000 crores.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Ambassador of China to India Mr. Takeshi Yagi, Mr Rajnikant Patel, the Home Minister of Gujarat, Mr R.C Bhargawa Chaiman Suzuki India at Hansalpur. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Osamu Suzuki said: “For the Suzuki group, setting up of this new manufacturing facility in Gujarat is the start of a new era. Under the “Make in India” program proposed by the Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Narendra Modi, we will set up a state-of-the-art production plant here in Gujarat, with high focus on productivity and efficiency.”
The automobiles produced at this facilities will be directly delivered to Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. With an expectation of sales of two million per annum. Spe aking to the thousands of local people present at the ceremony, Mr Suzuki said: “We want to manufacture vehicles together with you, which we can provide for the domestic and global markets. Your support and cooperation will be greatly appreciated” he also added that more investments are to come in upcoming years, which will strengthen the India-Japan friendship.The plant is going to be really beneficial to Gujaratis. It will bring employment to many job seekers.
