Hyundai Motor has received the Jury Prize at the JEC Innovation Awards 2015 for its innovative automotive bon-fibre frame style showcased on the Intrado construct car. The prize was conferred throughout the JEC Europe 2015 conference in Paris this month.
The organization designated the light-weight and art movement frame of Intrado, that enhances the concept’s advanced fuel-cell powertrain and style, representing the progressive spirit of Hyundai Motor. The minimalistic, independent skeleton-like frame structure is very stable and very lightweight weight, saving 70 % weight compared to a standard chassis and around 30 % on the vehicle weight, while not compromising safety attributes.
